Who can’t hear the Texas Swing in this masterful music? American musicians copy- catted this beautiful sound and called it country or Western Swing or whatever. We owe our musical souls to Hawaiians!!! LOVE the first tune!

In my opinion he speaks the Hawaiian music without an accent ! All the other steel players Emmons, Reece, Hartley all have their niche but no one in my opinion plays Hawaiian style to his perfection. Jerry Byrd was the best in his day but Jeff has raised the bar just like athletics.I am going on 90 yrs and started with a Hawaiian teacher which made me very cognizant of the technique the Hawaiian style requires. My opinion Jeff you are today's BEST !

It's a Rickenbacher Frying Pan. It's considered to be the first solid body electric guitar ever. I believe they were first built in the 1930s.

My Dad and I Watched your video and Dad was so happy watching you play he thoughly enjoyed it as did I, He himself has played the hawiian Steel Guitar for most of his life Dad still plays and is now coming up to 93yrs of Age, as a boy he watched his Father play on the hawiian Steel guitar through the 1930s and His Dad was the first ever to play an electric hawiian Steel Guitar for a live to air broadcast for the BBC Radio in Birmingham which was sadly bombed during the 2 world. Not long after that performance. Leaving the Radio Broadcasting house in ruines. You took Dad back to a very Special time in his life. He said You are truly a natural and it certainly comes through when you perform that you enjoy what you do. Wonderful.
